  • The Story is your opportunity to encounter God in His Word like never before. The Story is a collection of the basic stories of the Bible that tell the whole story from beginning to end. Through The Story, you will get a bird’s eye view of the Bible.

About The Story

  • The Story is both a resource and a project. As a resource, The Story represents about 30% of the Bible arranged in chronological order providing an overview of God's Word. As a project, The Story is a spiritual growth focus for Church @ The Springs. Our goal is to encourage our church to a daily and intentional time in the Word.

First Day

After weeks of me begging my husband Michael if I could purchase a copy of The Story, he finally broke down this past Sunday.  I'm currently a student, so clearly there are a ton of other books I should be reading, but I couldn't help but wonder what this book was all about.  Last night I opened it, and found myself excited about entering time at the beginning.  I made it through the first two chapters, and I'm loving it.  I'm starting to get to places where I don't know the characters, so it's as if I'm meeting these people for the first time.

Now much of a bible reader, carrying around the same cliches The Story hopes to eliminate.  I'm really hoping that by reading this book I'll be drawn to find the story in the Bible.  Small steps can lead you to great places.
